BUGLIGHT X WHITESTONE WORKS

I took part in a residency run by Buglight Theatre, a weekend of playing with new writing, with a team of facilitators, directors, writers and actors. It was an inspiring weekend full of devising and delving into different genres. The pieces will now be developed by the writers following the ideas cooked up and we will be performing them at Slung Low in July.

CHRISTMAS CAROL

I am currently working on a brand new take of A Christmas Carol with my partners in crime at Papermouse Theatre. 2 actors: 1 actor takes on Scrooge, the other takes on all the rest...and yes, ladies and gentlemen that's lucky me! All the Cratchits, yes. Mr & Mrs Fezziwig, yes. Oh, and all the ghosts!

Expect puppetry, japes & plenty of wigs, hats & moustaches.

@ MICKLEGATE SOCIAL, SAT 12th DECEMBER & SUN 13th DECEMBER, tickets, promo and all that jazz coming soon.

I spent the Summer touring in Miracle Theatre's Twelfth Night as Viola/Maria. Praise for the show:

Miracle Theatre delivered an excellent production of Twelfth Night; witty, beautifully adapted, well cast and a fantastic evening’s entertainment. Well delivered and genuinely funny; we loved it. - Muddy Stilettos
"When playing several parts, an actor hopes to fool audiences into believing more players appear stage right, left and centre than there actually are. Pip acheives this beautifully, subtly creating a distinctive voice, attitude and physicality for each part, while never over-doing it. I loved each of her performances. She speaks with great clarity, particularly as Cesario, delivering those timeless lines with a modernity that put me in mind of Kae Tempest's gently insistent delivery at its best. Whether Pip consciously intended to channel the South London poet or not, the effect was to allow her audience to understand exactly what Shakespeare was saying to us back in 1601 - and how he's still speaking to us today." - Simon Parker

PAWS & PROSE

I have launched my illustration business - finally! York based, commissions & prints.

Combining illustrations of furry friends & literary famous quotes, more on this soon...

ST LUKES GUIDING LIGHTS

I have just finished a Wild In Art Trail, designing & painting a 7 foot lighthouse!

The trail will be launching in Plymouth in the Summer, until then... the designs a secret!

Lets just say it's *bark*ing mad.

The lighthouse has now made the journey from painting it in York all the way to Plymouth to join it's fellow sculptures.

MISCHIEF OF RATS - HULL TRAIL

I designed and painted not 1 but 2 6 foot fibre glass rats for the Mischief Of Rats Trail in Hull. My 2 designs got chosen & sponsored from a National open call. They were then on the streets of Hull for 3 months and were auctioned off for charity in September. Ticket To Ride made £5500 & Beauty & Brains was bought by the sponsors at an agreed price before auction.

Find out more about the creative process of this on my blog page.
